What is Milestones?
Milestones is an 18-year discipleship program for anyone who wants to raise kids who love and live like Jesus. The goal is to help parents be the most confident, well-equipped, joy-filled parents they can be as they raise kids toward Godward independence. Kids are incredible gifts. And bringing up kids is beautiful, God-given, complex, and glorious work. We don’t know anything more important and worthy of our effort than preparing a generation of counter-cultural, Jesus-centered influencers for launch into the world.
18-Year Overview
Stages are a developmental time period in a child’s life. Before children enter a new stage, parents will attend the annual conference with classes and workshops designed to help them prepare for what’s ahead.
Biblical Parenting Foundations are the five key areas that we feel are fundamental in shaping our parenting through a biblical worldview. These foundations may look different through the stages, but they will show up throughout your parenting journey.
MIlestones ‘26: Gender & Sexuality
Our heart as a Family Discipleship team is simple: we want to equip you to have healthy, ongoing conversations with your kids and students about sex and gender.
Parents, have you ever locked eyes with your spouse when your child asked a question you definitely weren’t ready for? Or found yourself completely frozen, trying to figure out what to say in the moment?
This is event was spent listening to parents who have already walked down this road. We chatted through some practical tools and resources you can use to help you be prepared to answer those questions and hopefully equip you in a way where you can answer them before they even have to ask themselves.
Milestones ‘25: Faith & Formation
Built on the vision of empowering parents as the primary disciplers of their children within their own homes. We believe that while every family is distinct—like its own spiritual fingerprint—vibrant family discipleship can flourish when rooted in three key elements: time, moments, and milestones.
Through time, parents intentionally create rhythms to grow closer to God through Bible study, prayer, and conversations. Through moments, they learn to see the everyday ups and downs of life as natural opportunities to instruct their kids in gospel truths. And through milestones, families celebrate significant events, using birthdays, graduations, etc., to remember God’s faithfulness to their child.
Milestones ‘24: Parenting together
We can connect with anyone worldwide at any moment, yet our world has slowly become more isolated and lonelier than ever before. If we aren’t careful, we might find ourselves on a parenting island - without community and feeling like we are the only ones experiencing the joys and hardships that come with raising kids who love Jesus.
At Milestones ’24, we want to help you discover the good gift and unlock the full potential of parenting within a Jesus-centered Family on Mission. Parenting is done best when done together.
